THE JOB

Future image and tehnology. Create

an oeuvre over the theme “Paradise”. Methods to choose from are drawing

or modeling apps from Oculus Quest VR glasses such as Tilt Brush or Gravity Sketch, photo and video with 360’ camera, Throne or System camera.

THE PROCRESS

After some thought to the theme, I decided to go on a more documentary approach.

I chose to examine the Camp Fire that took place in California in 2018 burning down nearly the entire city called Paradise.

I wanted to create a wholesome experience.

The methods I chose where to illustrate with Procreate and create 3D characters in Gravity Sketch, scan a real life fireman and ensemble all this in the Wonda VR platform.

THE OUTCOME

A harmony of a wholesome oeuvre giving the viewer an experience of all senses.

The exhibition space started with a news

like video giving information about the fire.

A fireman's outfit folded on a chair, burnt linen hanged in the air to give feel and smell, paintings that visualized the colours of emotions and fire. Using Wonda VR space, I had designed a room that was on fire.

Putting on the VR classes one would enter a game like experience, having to rescue the 3D characters trapped in the burning house. After saving everyone, the game would end standing next to a real life fireman scanned to the room, watching a street view video from Paradise California explaining the rebuilding of the city and where it stands at the moment.
